Willow Bend Sports & Spine Center in Plano is looking for a Medical Assistant to provide back office assistance with patient procedures along with serving as back up for front desk overflow office duties.
The perfect candidate will have completed a credentialed Medical Assistant program, positive, upbeat, friendly, somewhat sports-oriented, and willing to learn new skills.
Responsibilities:
Welcome patient(s), accompany them to exam room, and prepare patient(s) for treatment (providing shorts or drapes)
Work along side doctor in back office assisting with patient treatment/procedures
Provide front office back up (welcoming patients, answering phones, registering patients, copying patient forms, verifying insurance through Availity, and answering questions.
Clean exam room, refill necessary supplies, and prepare room for next patient
Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by complying with professional standards and legal regulations and adhering to HIPPA patient guidlelines
Skills/Qualifications/Income:
Graduate of Credentialed Medical Assistant Program
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong office skills (working computer knowledge, typing skills, phone systems)
Bi-lingual a plus
Hourly Pay: $17+/hr plus bonuses
