Cedar Run Community Church is excited to post an opening for a Youth Ministry Director. As a medium-sized church with a large footprint, we pull from over a dozen area schools. Job Description:

The Student Ministry Director oversees all aspects of Student Ministry (Grades 6-12) in a way that is aligned with the Scriptures, Statement of Faith, and values of the church. Visit https://www.cedarrun.net/ for more information on what we believe.

Lead, teach and preach during Youth Ministry meeting time within the Sunday morning church service. Prepare lessons and lead discussion time.

Organize and lead an effective discipleship ministry.

Design and implement the summer youth retreat and regular local community-building activities, including bible studies and other local gatherings that allow for growth in understanding of Jesus Christ, and development of discipleship relationships among the students and ministry leadership.

Recruit and integrate volunteers into the Student Ministry program and develop new youth leaders from among the students that can minister to their peers.

Get to know the parents and partner with them for the benefit of the program.

Supervise the spending of the ministry budget and ensure that funds are used and accounted for in an appropriate manner.

Hold to high moral standards, avoiding impropriety and the appearance of impropriety.

Agree with the church’s constitution and statement of faith, as well as the scriptural positions on marriage, sexuality, and sexual identity.
